This is Volume 1 of what might become a series of releases I'm going to call "Exiles". Think of them as old fashioned B sides - not perfect but still having some kind of weird, aloof charm and perhaps some usefulness - perhaps....

These are two songs that came from the same set of bass loops. I recorded the loops way back in 2016 but abandoned the song I was writing at the time as it just wasn't working.

Song 1 - "1 minute 40 seconds" takes the original loops and for some unremembered reason at some point I sped them up to double speed and promptly abandoned it again. Finding it on my computer in 2021 and wondering what it was, I added a cheesy drum loop, some even cheesier spoken word samples from old public domain TV advertisements and movies and this silly little ditty was the result.

Song 2 - "They Dug Everything Out Of The Earth" is closest to the original intent I had for the song and takes the original recording and add some vocals, keyboards and spoken word samples. It's not perfect but hey, its finally finished.
